ACT ACTIVE School in a Bag fundraising
Thu 04 May 2023On 29th March for ACT ACTIVE we picked up our school bags full of books and pens and a water bottle and ran and walked laps of the field to raise money for 'School in a Bag'. This is a charity that is sending backpacks out to school children in Turkey and Syria who have been affected by the earthquake. The backpacks contain everything a child might need to take to school. We raised £364 which will buy quite a lot of backpacks. Parents also joined us carrying their work bags.

Meet Joni our friendly dog who loves books
Thu 04 May 2023Joni visits us every other Tuesday afternoon to sit and listen to children read stories to her. She is wonderful to stroke, listens really well and is great company. Her owner Helen Carson enjoys hearing readers too and volunteers in school through a charity called 'Dogs as Therapy'.

10.2.23 Parents enjoy ACT ACTIVE and STAY and PLAY
Wed 03 May 2023There were lots of parents at the school gate at 8.30 ready to wake up by doing laps of the school field as part of ACT ACTIVE to earn extra house points for their child. Lots of you then stayed to enjoy reading in class. After expending all that physical and mental energy, there was chance to relax with a cuppa and chat with Ms Haiselden and Miss Louise.
