School Business Manager required

Permanent position A.S.A.P

NJC point: 20 To 23 Depending on experience.

40 week contract – Permanent position

2/3 days a week (8.30am – 4.30pm) Flexible hours

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic School Business Manager to join our wonderful team and to work closely with the Headteacher and office team and to support, contribute & implement strategic planning and development of the school.  We are looking for someone who can:

 

  • Promote the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people in every aspect of their work;
  • Thrive in a busy school office environment, managing multiple deadlines and prioritising as needed;
  • Work independently to complete their own workload whilst also being prepared to help out as part of the wider admin team as the needs of the school require;
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of finance, premises and HR processes –training will be provided for school specific systems, where needed;
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the school and the wider school community, to ensure that the schools financial information is accurate and complete;
  • Be committed to continuous professional development, with a desire to learn from others in school and other supportive services;
  • Show initiative and take the lead in providing a friendly welcome to all visitors, parents and pupils;
  • Have competent IT skills across a range of systems;
  • Understand the need to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Permanent position

Term-time (38 weeks) plus an additional 1 week for deep cleans during the summer holidays if required

15 hours per week

Term time hours Monday – Friday, 5.30pm - 8:30pm.

We are looking to appoint an energetic, hard-working, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our friendly team of premises staff in caring for our school. You will work closely with the headteacher and premises support manager to undertake duties that will keep our site clean and tidy. The successful candidate will work with us to provide a great environment for our children, staff and visitors by maintaining the cleanliness of the school.  We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: 

 

• Have previous experience in a similar post

• Have high standards in all areas of their work

• Be flexible in your approach to working

• Have some understanding of Health and Safety procedures

• Be self-motivated, trustworthy and proactive

• Work effectively and supportively as a member of a team and have the confidence and ability to act   

    on your own initiative, dealing with unexpected problems that may arise

• Have a positive outlook and a good work ethic, taking pride in your work

• Have good communication skills
