Our topic this half term is “Are all forests the same?”
For their homework project, children may choose from the following options:

1. Design a poster comparing two or more forest types, such as:

• Tropical rainforest vs boreal forest
• Temperate forest vs rainforest

Include:

• Where they are found (countries/continents)
• Climate (temperature, rainfall)
• Plants and animals
• Human uses or threats

2. Build a 3D forest habitat model

3. Create a profile of a forest animal.

Include:

• Habitat and location
• Diet
• Adaptations to survive

4. Design a "save the forest" campaign to protect forests. You could make a poster, leaflet or video script. Explain the threats (deforestation, climate change, logging etc.) and suggest solutions.
