We are looking to appoint a School Caretaker/Handyman & a Finance & Premises Support Officer to start A.S.A.P

Required ASAP: Caretaker/Handyman

Permanent position

Term-time (38 weeks) + 2 weeks.

22 ½  hours per week – Split shifts.

Term time hours Monday – Friday 7:30am – 10am then 3pm – 5pm

(Change of working pattern considered for right candidate)

Scale 1C Point 3

 

Rated Good by Ofsted - June 2023 & Outstanding by SIAMS - February 2016

 

Closing date:  Friday 3rd May 2024 Noon

We are looking to appoint a committed, energetic and caring caretaker to join the team, who will work closely with the HeadTeacher and Premises Support Officer to maintain and secure the school buildings and grounds. Candidates will be hard working and in good health, someone who will be proud to keep the premises clean & tidy and in good working order.  We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: 

 

  • Enjoys working in an environment with children.
  • Enjoys DIY and can complete tasks to a very good standard.
  • Has excellent can-do attitude with a good understanding of caretaking and maintenance.
  • Is flexible, creative and can work independently.
  • Has an understanding of school caretaking processes and procedures.
  • Willingness to improve own skills and seek improvement for us where you can.
  • Good communication skill.
  • Flexibility in adapting to the changing needs of the school on its road to improvement.

Finance and Premises Support Officer – Permanent

Hours of work: 15 hours - 2 days per week (Flexible working days) 8:30am – 4:30pm

38 weeks per year + additional hours for end of year preparation.

We are looking to appoint a Finance and Premises Support Officer to join the team and to work closely with the Headteacher and office team and to support, contribute & implement strategic planning and development of the school.  We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: 

 

  • Experience of working in a school office.
  • Some experience of working on aspects of school finance and premises.
  • An understanding of school office processes and procedures
  • Willingness to improve own skills, learn how our school and the wider education system works, and seek improvement for us where you can?
  • Is a strategic and solution-based thinker
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent ICT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office packages and FMS and SBS.
  • Flexibility in adapting to the changing needs of the school on its road to improvement.
